Key responsibilities include:
Completes survivor led case planning provides advocacy within 72 hours of the survivors arrival, information and referral, and other appropriate services.
Provides advocacy (housing, employment, education, economic, medical, etc.
) and provides information and referrals to other community resources.
Works with clients to build and develop life skills.
Document all contacts with clients in individual client files and provides documentation as requested.
Meets with DV Case manager weekly to coordinate and prioritize services to meet individualized case plans for residential, transitional housing, and walk-in clients.
Conducts morning meetings along with the case manager and facility manager to instruct residential clients of the shelter on safety/emergency procedures and house rules, fill requests for personal care items and cleaning supplies, and plan and obtain items for household meals.
Coordinate services with other Survivor Empowerment Center programs as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree ; preferably in human services, psychology, social work or any other related field with 1 year of experience preferred.
Experience without a Bachelor's Degree may be considered.
Requirements COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of employment.
