Summary:
The role of the Retail Associate is to provide the customer with an exceptional and educational experience in line with LOVA culture and customer service expectations.
The Retail Associate is to educate the consumer on consumption methods, purchase limits, general regulations, and product information.
The Retail Associate is also expected to perform to individual and company-wide sales goals as set forth by management.
Job Duties:
Product Knowledge Maintains extensive product and industry knowledge on all current and up and coming products and categories Maintains extensive brand knowledge and selling points Understands and is able to explain all cannabis product categories, consumption methods, and infusion methods Understands and is able to explain dosing instructions and safe consumption per product Understands and is able to explain infusion, extraction, and other methods regarding the production of products Completes ancillary product training such as Learn Brands, vendor trainings, etc as required Customer Service / Salesmanship / Compliance Provides exceptional customer service in line with LOVA expectations and objectives Provides product knowledge including general information, consumption instructions, dosing instructions, and onset information Provides regulatory education including but not limited to; purchase limits, legal consumption spaces, properly transporting cannabis, and proper cannabis storage Completes certified compliance course as required Completes sales in compliance with state and local regulations Verifies identification prior to sale Accurately weighs and dispenses weighable product Accurately scans in product by barcode to ensure utmost inventory accuracy Properly labels all products for compliant exit Performs to and meets individual and team sales goals as established by management Cash Handling Practices safe cash handling in accordance with company policy (See Cash Handling SOP) Performs daily deposits and drawer counts Completes daily drawer closing and opening duties (See Drawer Open/Close SOP) Maintains an accurate cash count at all times and reports cash overage/shortage to management immediately Performs cash drops to maintain appropriate drawer levels Is accountable for drawer shortages/overages Attitude / Conduct / Communication Responds to all company communications and inquiries in a timely manner Responsible for monitoring Slack messages and responding appropriately Practices utmost professionalism at all times with customers and coworkers Practices a positive attitude at all times and contributes to a positive work environment Ensures conduct is in line with LOVA mission and culture at all times General Duties Completes Open/Close checklists daily (See Open/Close Checklist) Ensures POS stations are stocked with appropriate supplies and packaging and that the following shift is setup for success Maintain Inventory Stocks sales floor with inventory as needed Alert management to low stock/out of stock issues Ensure no compliance information is covered Maintains cleanliness of point of sale station at all times Assists with daily cleaning and organization duties Assists with labeling drams and products Other duties as assigned
