The Service Access Representative - Patient Intake is responsible for interviewing incoming patients, pre-registration, registration, and insurance verification to facilitate the registration process $18.
00/hr minimum - $27.
00/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)
Responsibilities:
Follows registration policy and procedures to accurately identify patient, insurances, obtain required signatures where applicable.
Verifies order is present in Epic/HI folders prior to registration.
Contacts, or refers to the appropriate individual/department to provide necessary data to financially secure account.
Offers patients all required brochures and obtains all necessary signatures.
Explains failed ABN to patient, obtains signatures and reviews document for completeness Collects and post ED copays.
Balance drawer at end of each shift.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Medical Terminology Technical Experience 1 year Typing minimum 40 wpm.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
