The School of Information Systems and Applied Technologies (ISAT) is within the College of Applied Sciences and Arts (CASA), Southern Illinois University (SIU) Carbondale. CASA is the third largest undergraduate academic unit at SIU Carbondale, a doctoral research-extensive university. ISAT provides three BS degree programs for SIU Carbondale undergraduate students - Electronic Systems Technologies ( EST ), Information Systems Technologies ( IST ), and Technical Resource Management ( TRM ). ISAT invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position for the baccalaureate degree program in EST, IST, or TRM.
Carbondale is a community of 27,000 and is located 100 miles southeast of St. Louis, Missouri. It is adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest and has some of the most picturesque terrain in Illinois.

Qualifications - Required:
Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology Management, Technical Management, or a related discipline.
ISAT applicants should have a strong commitment to and be capable of teaching courses in one or more of the following areas: courses in accordance with needs of three programs - EST, IST, or TRM .
Qualifications - Preferred:
Postsecondary teaching experience and/or business and industry experience.
Evidence of potential for research in discipline-related areas.
Experiences of leading creative activities for students.
Responsibilities: Applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Duties include (1) teaching classes each semester; (2) conducting research in the discipline which will lead to national/international presentations and refereed publications; and (3) serving the university, the profession, and the community. Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.
Effective Date of Appointment: August 16, 2015/Fall Semester

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
